What hail actually does to a Lincoln roof
Southeast Nebraska sits in one of the most active hail corridors in the country. A single spring storm can bruise thousands of roofs, and the damage is usually invisible from the ground: crushed granules, fractured shingle mats, dented vents and flashing, and soft spots that start leaking months later.
Left alone, hail-bruised shingles lose their granules, dry out and fail years early. That’s why insurers cover hail damage — and why they expect claims to be filed within a set window after the storm date.
We’re not a storm-chasing crew. We’re a Lincoln company that has been here since 2010, and we’ll still be here when your roof needs its next inspection. If your roof is fine, we’ll tell you.
Why homeowners call Integrity after a storm
- Free inspection with photos — you see exactly what we see, on the roof and at the gutters, siding, windows and AC unit.
- Proper documentation — test squares, chalk marks, measurements and a photo report that supports a legitimate claim.
- Xactimate estimates — the same software your insurance company uses, so line items match.
- We meet your adjuster on site and point out damage they may miss.
- Whole-exterior restoration — roofing, siding, gutters and windows fixed by one crew, one contract.
- Honest advice — if the damage doesn’t meet your deductible or isn’t there, we say so.
Repair or replace?
Small, isolated hail damage can sometimes be repaired: replacing a few shingles, resealing vents, swapping a dented ridge cap. Widespread bruising across a slope means the shingle mat is compromised and replacement is the right call. We show you the difference on your own roof and explain what your adjuster is likely to approve.
When replacement is needed, we install complete GAF, Owens Corning and CertainTeed systems, including Class 4 impact-resistant shingles that may qualify you for an insurance discount going forward.
How the project goes
- Call or book online. Storm emergencies: call any time. We can tarp active leaks the same day.
- Free inspection and photo report. Roof, gutters, siding, windows, screens and soft metals.
- You file the claim (we’ll tell you what to say and what to expect).
- Adjuster meeting. We meet the adjuster at your home and walk the roof with them.
- Scope agreement and scheduling. Once the insurer issues the scope, we review it line by line and schedule the work.
- Repair or replacement, cleanup and final paperwork — including the documents your insurer needs to release the final payment.

Financing and insurance

Storm damage and insurance claims
Your policy typically covers sudden storm damage minus your deductible, but not age-related wear. Every policy and adjuster is different. We help you understand the process and document the damage thoroughly; we never promise what an insurer will approve, and we never offer to “cover” your deductible — that’s insurance fraud, and we won’t do it. Frequently asked questions
How do I know if my roof has hail damage?
From the ground you may see dented gutters, downspouts, AC fins or window screens, and granules piled at downspout outlets. The roof itself needs a trained inspection. Ours is free and comes with photos.
How long after a storm can I file a claim?
Most Nebraska policies allow a year or more, but the sooner you document damage the better. Check your policy or ask us.
Will filing a hail claim raise my rates?
Hail is usually treated as an act of God rather than a fault claim. Rate decisions are made by your insurer, and we can’t predict them.
Can you help if the adjuster denied or underpaid the claim?
Often, yes. If you request a re-inspection, we can provide additional photos and documentation to support it. We’ll tell you honestly whether we think there’s a case.
Do you tarp leaking roofs?
Yes. Call 402.730.3077 any time for storm emergencies.
